About the
Captain
As a South
Florida native of Fort Lauderdale, I followed in the footsteps
of my grandfather, who was a local charter boat captain in the
early 1950's on his boat "AWOL'. We both shared the same love of
the sport, and I grew up fishing from the Florida Keys and
Flamingo to Palm Beach, and from the Bahamas to other parts of
the Caribbean. My passion ultimately led me to a career as a
full-time backcountry fishing guide for the past 8 years, and
has afforded me the opportunity to introduce other enthusiastic
anglers to such an engaging sport.
 South Florida boasts some of the best inshore and offshore fishing in the world. My passion is in Florida backcountry fishing and the hunt for bonefish, permit and tarpon (just to name a few) on the flats of Miami's Biscayne
Bay and the waterways of Fort Lauderdale.
When fishing on my 18' Hells Bay Marquesa, the customer does the fishing. I'll be there to put you on the fish and keep the tackle going. Both fly fisherman and bait fisherman are welcome. I'll even supply the flies and/or the bait.
My goal is
your goal – to make your day on the water a success. I am
passionate about catching fish for my customers, and will
patiently provide instruction as needed to accomplish our goal.
It also means having a good time regardless of the fishing
conditions. Any day on the water beats any day at work!
For the novice fisherman, I'll provide friendly fly fishing or light tackle instruction. For the accomplished angler, I can help fine tune your skills. Fishing times will vary depending on your schedule, my availability, and the fish.
