November 25th, 2008  Fishing Report  Wow! Awesome weather and awesome fishing. This is my favorite time of year. We are catching big bull redfish on our 4, 5 and 6 hour fishing charters.  We had some awesome light tackle action on the big bull redfish as we fished with light spinning tackle. There must have been over 100 fish in this school. This doen't happen everytime but when it does, hang on! The redfish action should be with us through late March or early April. We enjoyed having a nice family with us today. December & January Fishing Forecast from Orange Beach for the Alabama Gulf Coast  Cooler temperatures and less fishing pressure should continue to provide us with some great fishing in December and January. The big bull redfish bite is on and should continue through early April.  A 4, 5 or 6 hour trip is all you need. Offshore bottomfishing for amberjack, scamp grouper, vermillion snapper, king mackerel and much more will continue throughout the fall and year round. Plan on a full day trip to target these fish. Whether you are looking for a few hours on the gulf or a full day trip, this is a great time of year to enjoy some saltwater fishing along the Alabama Gulf Coast. Fall and Winter Fishing October through March offers great fishing charters here in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. We specialize in nearshore winter fishing for big bull redfish. Alabama redfish fishing October through early April, come try it. King mackerel are also caught in October and November. A 4 hour trip is usually long enough to catch these fish. If you enjoy sportfishing and light tackle action for bull redfish, then we always keep spinning rods rigged and ready to cast into a school of big reds or if you prefer, then just sit back and relax as we troll for these big fish. We always promote catch and release, but these redfish are tasty when served blackened or grilled. You choose to keep or release. Enjoy all of this from a comfortable boat with a big back deck that can accommodate up to 6 people. This is awesome fishing with light tackle as you hook into a big redfish weighing from 15 to 35 pounds. Redfish fishing Alabama. Come try it. We also offer 10 hour offshore bottomfishing charters for a variety of fish including vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish, scamp and sometimes grouper and amberjack.

Our boat, Getaway, is a 36 foot custom Hatteras and  is fully air conditioned. She was repowered with faster twin diesel engines for 2008. She is also equipped with a clean bathroom, shower, microwave, Flat Screen  TV, DVD, stereo system  inside cabin and on the back deck with Sirius   Satellite radio.

The interior of the boat has been completely remodeled and has a nice clean bathroom. We also have a Play Station II for some added entertainment. The kids can fish, play games or nap. You can also  bring your own DVD's or watch ours. 

The fish we specialize in include bottom fishing for gag grouper, red grouper, scamp, red snapper, vermillion snapper, white snapper, black snapper, triggerfish, amberjack, king mackerel, redfish and sharks. Nearshore trolling trips are also available for Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jack crevalle, redfish and king mackerel. If you enjoy sportfishing then offshore trolling trips are available for tuna, wahoo, dolphin(also named mahi mahi and dorado) and marlin fishing. Types of trips

• Our 4  hour nearshore fishing charter is great for the group or family that is looking for a few  hours of fun and fishing. We have a morning trip and an afternoon trip. Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, bonita and sometime jack crevalle are often caught trolling nearshore. The 4 hour trip is also great for the family who wants to enjoy some sightseeing as we cruise along the beach and watch the dolphins swim around the boat while we fish. Stay the full 4 hours or come in early. • On the 6 hour fishing charter, we bottomfish for red snapper (6/1 - 8/4) and troll for Spanish and king mackerel along the shores of the Alabama Gulf Coast. The remainder of the year, we bottomfish for vermillion snapper, white snapper and triggerfish. This is a great fishing charter for your family or you and your friends. Come enjoy a half day of fun and fishing. Morning and afternoon trips offered. 
• The 8 hour fishing charter often produces white snapper, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, Spanish mackerel and king mackerel. Ask about catch and release amberjack fishing. Awesome fight with light tackle. Red snapper are caught in season, June 1st through August 4th.  
• The 10 hour fishing charter is an offshore bottomfishing trip. This trip is very similar to our 12 hour fishing charter. We often catch vermillion snapper, red snapper(in season), triggerfish, white snapper, king mackerel, scamp, amberjack and grouper. 
• The 12 hour fishing charter is our serious fishing trip. This is our best trip. However, this trip is not just for the guys. Many families also choose this trip and have proven they are serious anglers. The 12 hour trip usually produces a variety of deepwater fish including red snapper(in season), vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish, gag grouper, red grouper, scamp, king mackeral, mahi mahi,  wahoo and amberjack.
•  Deep drop fishing in 400 - over 1000 feet of water with light weight, high tech electric reels. We are introducing deep drop fishing on our 12 hour bottomfishing trips and our offshore trolling trips. You will have a chance to catch tilefish, snowy grouper, yellowedge grouper, warsaw grouper and more. We will still do our conventional fishing as usual. Ask me about deep drop fishing.

• Offshore Big Game trolling trip is a full day of trolling for king mackerel, wahoo, dolphin(mahi mahi) and always a chance to hook into a tuna, sailfish or marlin. August through October are the best months for offshore trolling. Have you always bottomfished but thought about hooking into a big wahoo or a big marlin? Spring Break Gulf Shores, Spring Break Orange Beach

We usually catch Spanish mackerel and a few isolated redfish on our 4 hour Gulf Shores fishing charters. There is always a chance to catch a big cobia. We will be in search for the big cobia(ling) through late April as they migrate west along the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama.
