Kingfisher
Charters was
founded in 1990 by lifetime Sitka, Alaska resident Seth Bone.
Superb fishing and word of mouth referrals from customers
have helped this small family business grow from a one man
operation to the most successful Alaska fishing charter service
in Sitka, with with a fleet of fully equipped boats and a
full service lodge. From the owners to the captains to the
lodge staff, our goal is constant: to provide you with a
top quality fishing trip through hard work, friendly service
and by going the extra mile for you. We
spare no expense or effort when it comes to your comfort
and success in catching salmon,
halibut, lingcod and rockfish. |
Sitka is
the best place to go for your Alaska saltwater fishing trip
because it offers the best combination of halibut, salmon and
lingcod fishing in the world. The Alaskan Department of Fish
and Game ranks Sitka highest in the region in total catch and
catch rate for both halibut and king salmon. Our proximity
to the open ocean provides a steady supply of fish, while the
islands, bays and passageways provide sheltered water for fishing.
Our fishing charter boats are fast 26-30' cabin cruisers with
heated, enclosed cabins and private heads. A wide beam makes
these boats very stable fishing platforms with a deep V hull
for a comfortable ride. Each charter boat is equipped with
state of the art electronics for navigation, communication,
and fish location. GPS chart plotters make it easy to stay
on the fish and navigate in poor visibility. VHF radios are
equipped with scramblers to keep the Kingfisher fleet one step
ahead of the competition. These vessels move at 25 knots, putting
you at the best fishing grounds within an hour of the harbor.
Four people can fish comfortably aboard each boat and we will
take no more than four at a time except by request of the group.
You will have a coast guard licensed captain with years of
local fishing experience as your guide. They enjoy their work
and have the drive and expertise to put you on quality fish.
